In the 1960’s homosexuality was a crime in 49 out of 50 states in America. In 1969, 50 years ago, a group in New York city decided enough was enough and fought back. Known as the Stone Wall riots, Out on Film and Atlanta Pride have chosen to honor its 50 year anniversary with the “50 Years of LGBT Cinema” 10 queer themed films that span the time between the riots and today are being shown, the majority of which are this weekend.
