Cobb County Teacher Suspended for Helping Gay Youth

December 17, 2020

In the fall of 2019, Cobb County high school drama teacher Spencer Jordan was suspended from teaching at Campbell HS after a 21 year career. The reason – trying to help a teen who needed a place to stay after coming out to his mother who had given a counselor permission to let the student leave and stay at Spencer’s. After a few hours, the police showed up after the mother filed a missing person’s report. Since then, Spencer hasn’t been teaching, hasn’t been paid, has been accused of “immoral actions” and is still trying to get the Cobb County School Board to expunge his record. Many sang his praises at an emotional hearing recently, but Spencer needs our help.
