Fulton County has seen a dramatic rise in cases of Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and worst of all HIV over the past few years and as of December 2018 is one of the top five counties in the country for all of these infections. Dr. John T. Brooks, Senior Medical Advisor, Department of HIV/AIDS prevention of the CDC speaks with Gregg about the specifics of these infections, the possible reasons behind these disturbing trends, and most importantly, prevention methods including the popular PreP (once daily) and PeP (morning after) preventative medications which are available at any hospital emergency room.
